Novel in 90 Curriculum

Writing a novel is a journey, not something completed in a single day. By spending a little time each day working on it, constantly moving it forward, you will maintain momentum and the little wins will push you to the finish line. Novel in 90 is built to work around your schedule, utilizing small chunks of time. Each module contains multiple lessons, and each of the lessons consist of a series of short videos (each approximately 5 minutes in length) allowing you to move through the course quickly and efficiently.

When I began my own writing journey I developed the P.E.N.S. four step method to completing a novel.

Step 1: Prepare

Modules 0, 1 and 2 are where we will take the general idea and use it to plan out your novel. This is where you will make decisions on the who, what and where of your book.

Step 2: Expand

With the broad strokes of your novel now in place, Module 3 will help you expand each area and ensure that all of the necessary components of a good story are there.

Step 3: Nurture

With our world, characters, plots and basic timing set, now we need to help it grow. Revisiting some of the ideas from Module 3 and all of Module 4, we will go from basic chapter ideas, to individual scenes and work out the quickest way to write.

Step 4: Story tell

With your blueprint from Module 4 in hand, now is when you apply everything you have put together and write you novel. This is also where we will make your story shine using techniques learned in Module 5.
